Ariana

Ariana is recognized as one of the biggest economic center in Tunisia because of its importance in finance, commerce, healthcare, education, tourism, and its geo-strategic location. It has a modern basic infrastructure; access by air, sea and road is easy. Indeed, Ariana is 5 minutes from the Tunis-Carthage International Airport. The Rades port is accessible by ferry and by road. The governorate also has an extensive road network (180 km) providing connections with the neighboring governorates as well as with two light rail lines linking it to Tunis.
The concept of the project is to build, in phases, a global and integrated modern city. It will contribute in the formulation of the overall economic and future development map of Tunisian Republic. Implementing the project would ensure greater coherence of the city. By enhancing the strategic planning, the city will be more attractive for domestic and foreign investors. So, we are looking for more job opportunities and consequently an economic growth.

  • At the university level, researchers will focus on technological innovations.
  • In El gazala technopark, new startups will be created working in smart city related topics.
  • At the national level, we are looking to present Ariana as a pilot project for other cities.
